General Practitioners PDF Print E-mail

Dr ChudleyI joined the practice in 1984 and I have always been involved in teaching, both undergraduates and doctors. Now a GP trainer, I also have a special interest in rheumatology and diabetes.

Outside the practice I am a GP appraiser, assessor for the CSA exam for Royal College of General Practitioners and professional life coach.

I persist in believing in the triumph of hope over experience and continue to practise mountain biking whenever I can.

Partner Emeritus. Qualified in Sunny South Africa, MPH in Israel. Loves the NHS with all its faults, hates the UK Winter.

Interested in people mainly, at work and out of it.

Enjoys the wonderful variety of general practice. Other interests include outdoors and wildlife.

altTrained in this practice and became a partner in 1997. Leads on Child Health Surveillance including the Wednesday afternoon "baby clinic", teaches medical students, and is a GP trainer and appraiser.

Worked in Africa and the Netherlands . Part time lecturer in International Health at the University of Birmingham , a trustee of a health policy charity and working on health inequalities for the Royal College of General Practitioners. Married to a GP with 3 children and a keen runner.

8 session partner. Clinical interests renal, respiratory and INR clinics. Is a GP trainer and undergraduate tutor. Likes trying to get the computers to do what he wants them to, though frequently fails. Other interests eating, reading, watching the occasional football match, if feeling adventurous doing all three at the same time.

I have been at Jiggins Lane Medical Centre since May 2015. In that time I have been elected onto the board of Our Health Partnerships and also onto the Birmingham Local Medical Committee, as I have a keen interest in both local and national medico-politics. I am also currently working as the co-clinical director of QCAPS, a pilot referral quality improvement scheme, for the Northfield Alliance.

I blog occasionally (see www.ourhealthpartnership.com, Huffington Post, BMJ Blog, Pulse Today) and spend a good deal of time engaging enjoyably with GPs and doctors on social media. I also write songs, walk the dog and occasionally go rock climbing. I try to balance my work and interests with being a good husband and father!
